Please note that as of today, 29th August at 12:03 AM UTC, V1 has been paused due to an active issue. User funds are safe and a patch is coming to address the issue. Additional updates will be provided as soon as possible. The entire Compound security team (OpenZeppelin, Certora, zeroShadow, ChainSecurity, Compound Foundation) are available for any questions.

I’ll add that this issue only affects Compound V1 which has been effectively deprecated for many years and has a relatively low amount of funds. The pausing is controlled by an old developer key. Neither the Pause Guardian or the Compound DAO have any controls over Compound V1.
It’s also important to note that Compound V2 and V3 are completely unaffected.
