Gauntlet was notified that Polygon will upgrade the Polygon Portal: USDT bridge to native USD₮0 on Polygon PoS on August 27th, 2025, at 8:00 AM ET. This will change how USDT appears on Polygon PoS but will not affect the value or usability of funds.
Impact
- For Users: No action is needed. Some apps may start showing “USDT0” instead of “USDT.”
- For Transfers: Any USDT bridge withdrawals started before the upgrade will still work. After the upgrade, new withdrawals from the old bridge will be disabled, but on-chain transfers remain unaffected.
Gauntlet will monitor the migration and confirm that there is no impact to Compound’s V3 Polygon Comet or Compound Blue. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
