Introducing Compound Mini App — DeFi in Telegram!

Hey everyone

I’m excited to share a new project I’ve been working on: Compound Mini App, a simple and intuitive way to interact with the Compound Protocol right from Telegram!

With this Mini App, you can:

- Supply WETH on Sepolia testnet

  • Borrow USDC against your collateral
  • Manage your positions
  • Check your health factor and interest rates
    all without leaving Telegram.

This makes experimenting with DeFi easier and more accessible, especially for beginners or for quick testing on testnets.

:hammer_and_wrench: What Makes It Cool

Works inside Telegram — No separate website required
Web3 wallet integration — MetaMask works seamlessly via Telegram
Beginner-friendly — with a guided UX and built-in help

:blue_book: Full User Guide

I’ve also published a comprehensive User Guide that walks you through everything from setup to your first supply & borrow:

:backhand_index_pointing_right:Compound Mini User Guide

It covers:

  • How to launch the app inside Telegram

  • Wallet setup and connecting MetaMask

  • Adding Sepolia testnet

  • Getting test ETH from faucets

  • Wrapping ETH into WETH

  • Supplying, borrowing, withdrawing, and repaying

  • Safety tips and troubleshooting

Get Started

  1. Open Telegram Web (recommended: web.telegram.org)

  2. Search for @compoundminiapp

  3. Follow the steps in the guide to connect your wallet and start testing!

:information_source: Notes & Tips

:brain: Best Experience for now: Use Telegram Web + MetaMask extension on desktop, soon full support without deeplink issues for mobile
:fuel_pump: This is Sepolia testnet only — all tokens are test tokens

:speech_balloon: Feedback & Contributions

I’d love your feedback! Try it out and let me know:

- What worked well

  • What could be improved
  • Any feature ideas for future releases

Feel free to open issues or contribute on the GitHub repo.

Thanks for building Compound Mini App! Unfortunately, I can’t find it while searching @compoundminiapp in Telegram. Could you send direct link?

The name is compoundminiapp but the handle is @compoundminiappbot

Thank you for the link, @allthecolors.

@itsored, I appreciate the effort and would love to see how this miniapp evolves, especially a pilot with one of the mainnet markets.

From a product design perspective, it looks like the app was built assuming a v2-style cross‑margin model, while v3 protocol uses isolated markets. In our case, “Add Collateral” and “Lend” are two different flows and should be separated accordingly: collateral does not earn interest, and the lent asset cannot be used as collateral at the same time.

In the current miniapp, the UI explicitly suggests that supplied WETH both accrues interest and is simultaneously usable as collateral, which does not match how v3 isolated markets work. I would like to get more clarification on how you intend these flows to behave.
