Hello Compound community!
We’re excited to be working with the Compound Growth Program via @rossgates & @dmitriywoofsoftware to launch a platform to host WOOFs new beautiful frontend in a decentralized and resilient manner.
TL;DR: We’re building a decentralized solution where Compound can post its website code to IPFS. From there, others in the community can independently host and verify it as the “official” version, ensuring ongoing access to Compound even if a central hosting entity becomes unavailable.
Project Highlights:
- Resilient Access: A decentralized approach for long-term, failure-resistant access to Compound’s frontend.
- Community-Driven Hosting: The Compound community can pay and incentivize hosts to serve the IPFS-linked website, streamlining efforts for global accessibility.
- Token-Based Incentives: Hosts will earn tokens for maintaining reliable, accessible versions of the site.
As a team of blockchain developers with experience in distributed compute and open sourcing multiple NEAR protocol projects, we’re thrilled to be part of this innovative shift toward more resilient, community-managed infrastructure for Compound. Looking forward to collaborating and building a strong decentralized foundation together!
