We’re excited to share the progress of the Comet DevX Suite, a comprehensive development toolkit designed specifically to enhance integration, testing, and security for Compound V3 (Comet). Following our recent review and milestone approval from the Compound Grants Committee, we’d like to introduce you to the tools we’ve built, gather your valuable feedback, and provide resources to get you started quickly.

What is Comet DevX Suite?

The Comet DevX Suite is an all-in-one developer toolkit providing robust integrations, local scenario simulations, and streamlined security tools specifically tailored for Compound V3. Our goal is to simplify the development lifecycle, improve security, and accelerate the adoption of Compound V3.

Key Features Delivered So Far:

1. TypeScript/JavaScript SDK

  • Simplified integration methods for supplying, borrowing, and repaying.
  • Thorough TypeScript definitions for secure and efficient development.

2. Python SDK

  • Python library offering similar functionality for quick scripting and analytics.
  • Easy installation via PyPI for data scientists and back-end developers.

3. Hardhat Plugin & CLI

  • Quickly scaffold and set up Compound projects using Hardhat.
  • A user-friendly CLI (create-comet-app) for initializing new projects rapidly.

4. Scenario Simulation Framework

  • Run advanced simulations such as price shocks, partial liquidations, and interest rate spikes in a local ephemeral environment.
